"As a leading supplier to the printing industry, we're very proud to bring new, cutting-edge capabilities for the global population of end users who want to be able to seamlessly print high-quality photos, documents or images from all of their devices anywhere and at any time," said Weili Dai, Co-founder of Marvell. "Marvell mPrint platform makes printing and scanning much more dynamic. I believe this truly meets the needs of a global population for whom life is mobile."
The Marvell mPrint mobile printing platform supports up to four users simultaneously. Individuals may work with the Marvell mPrint's HTML-5 based user interface on a variety of mobile devices, including smartphones and the Marvell mPrint's removable tablet, which is also capable of functioning independently as a tablet computer. Whichever device is used, the Marvell mPrint's Guided Task Flow feature makes viewing, sharing, printing or archiving documents easy.
The technologies shown in the Marvell mPrint printing platform are available to mobile computing and imaging providers now. With Marvell's technologies, leading manufacturers can build richer, easier-to-use printing and mobile document management products and bring them to market faster.
Central to the Marvell mPrint is Marvell's Wi-Fi Direct™ certified technology. As a contributor to the Wi-Fi Direct specification, and the only organization whose Wi-Fi Direct technology is also FCC certified, Marvell's Wi-Fi Direct technology provides customers with a truly world-class solution. Marvell's Wi-Fi Direct certified system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions allow handheld devices to automatically and securely detect and connect to other Wi-Fi Direct devices, without requiring a hot spot. The Marvell mPrint augments that capability by also supporting Near Field Communications to strengthen user recognition and authentication.
The powerful Marvell® ARMADA™ 600 Series application processor enhances the Marvell mPrint user experience where it is most important, at the interface. With full HD 1080p encode and decode, E-Ink Panel Display controller and advanced 3D graphics, the Marvell mPrint provides unparalleled user experience and imaging capabilities. Developers using the Android mobile operating system will also benefit from reference applications developed based on the Marvell mPrint for printing and scanning remotely from an Android device.
